■
Established
The convention had 150 randomly selected members and a mandate to define measures to cut France's greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40% by 2030 relative to 1990, in a spirit of social justice. After about nine months and seven sessions it delivered 48 objectives and 149 proposals on 21 June 2020.
■
Established
The president promised the proposals would go 'without filter' to a referendum, a parliamentary vote or direct regulation, but on 29 June 2020 excluded three: a 110 km/h motorway limit, a 4% tax on dividends and a change to the Constitution's preamble. No referendum was held.
