■
Established
The design had three phases: an online survey of priorities that gathered over 5,000 suggestions, a summit on 11 November 2011 at Tour & Taxis where 704 randomly selected citizens deliberated in groups of ten, and a smaller citizens' panel. The organisers said results were deliberately non-binding.
■
Established
704 randomly selected citizens attended the G1000 summit at Tour & Taxis on 11 November 2011, debating social security, immigration and the distribution of wealth; a smaller G32 panel of 32 participants drawn from the summit followed in the next months.
■
Established
About 10,000 people signed the G1000 manifesto soon after its publication, and thousands of donors and volunteers financed and ran the project; the organisation does not accept donations from political parties in order to protect its independence.
