Decentralised arbitration
Also: decentralised justice, crowdsourced arbitrationЧитать на русском
Dispute resolution run by a blockchain protocol in which crowdsourced jurors, chosen by an automated draw and paid by incentives, decide cases and their rulings are enforced by smart contracts.
In more detail
Kleros is the best-known example: jurors stake tokens to be eligible, are drawn in proportion to stake, and are rewarded when their votes match the final ruling. The approach differs from civic sortition, where each participant has an equal chance of selection, and from traditional arbitration, which relies on agreed human arbitrators and state enforcement of awards.
