“China's 2022 Regulations on Letters and Visits Work, in force from 1 May 2022, require most petition matters to be resolved within 60 days of acceptance, extendable by up to 30 days (Article 34), and state that no organisation or individual may retaliate against a petitioner (Article 18).”
