EstablishedFederal rules on disclosing party and campaign funding were adopted on 18 June 2021 as an indirect counter-proposal to a 2017 transparency initiative and took effect on 23 October 2022. GRECO, which had urged such rules since 2011, called the law a major step but noted expenditure transparency and independent auditing were not covered.
