Established
Nunavut's Legislative Assembly operates without political parties: after each election all members elect the Premier and the ministers, and they can remove them by a vote of non-confidence.
▲
Disputed
Henderson finds that the party-free 'consensus government' Nunavut took over from the Northwest Territories arose from the territorial council's history rather than from Aboriginal values, although Nunavut's government has since presented consensus as traditionally Inuit.
