EstablishedIn November 2023 Subcomandante Moisés announced that command of Zapatista autonomy had passed from the Juntas de Buen Gobierno and MAREZ to Local Autonomous Governments (GAL) in each community, grouped into collectives (CGAZ) and assemblies of collectives (ACGAZ) that are not authorities in themselves.
